ImmuKNOWLEDGEy: Advancing Immunology in MS
With support from Lucid Group
Summary of work
Traditional MSL training models focus on a top-down approach to capability development, lacking experiences, interaction, and true clinical significance. Sanofi’s ‘ImmuKNOWLEDGEy’ programme designed and piloted a novel, innovative capability framework, to improve MSL understanding in neuroimmunology delivered via a creative, digital narrative. This capability also aimed to enhance the clinical applicability of Sanofi training models to elevate patient care, with ‘Jessie’s’ patient story in MS at its heart.
Collaboration with Sanofi was crucial to developing a meaningful, educational programme. Through iterative co-creation and combining MSL insights on preferred digital models and industry best practice for creating interactive learning environments, we piloted a podcast-focused, online learning curriculum, chaptered by various stages of ‘Jessie’s’ journey.
Over 46 MSLs completed the curriculum, with 100% attendance and engagement across all channels. 85% rated the usefulness of the in-depth scientific training at least 8/10 for improving their understanding of a detailed neuroimmunology lecture. 95% rated training applicability to optimise fieldwork at least 8/10. Real-world impact of our model will become more evident following the pilot, as this curriculum is rolled out across Sanofi. ImmuKNOWLEDGEy has established a greater passion and confidence in MSLs for neuroimmunology, which has translated into meaningful engagements with multiple stakeholders.
