This feedback from one of Allergan Aesthetics’ Clinical Specialists regarding their onboarding learner journey experience resonates for the Allergan Medical Institute® (AMI) team even more than the metrics and exam pass-rates.
The Clinical Specialist onboarding learner journey was developed by Allergan Aesthetics, with the support of Makara Health, to ensure that critical clinical data and detailed treatment guidelines can be used in a meaningful, practical and sustainable way as they begin their role.
Clinical Specialists are tasked with supporting healthcare professionals in the safe and effective use of products from the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio. They join the team with clinical knowledge, but their level and breadth of relevant previous experience varies markedly.
The AMI team has the responsibility of designing, developing, delivering, measuring and constantly improving the full onboarding learner journey to enable Clinical Specialists to provide healthcare professionals with the highest levels of support, and ultimately help improve patient outcomes. The evidence that this onboarding produces Clinical Specialists that can carry out their role with confidence is in the overall pass-rate of the invigilated exam of 95%.
