Find Your Four to Live Well with HIV
Summary of work
Stigma, discrimination and health inequalities continue to be the most significant barriers to accessing prevention, treatment and care for HIV.
There are also new challenges that effect the long-term health and quality of life of those aging with HIV, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To tackle these challenges, in 2021, Gilead launched Find Your Four in collaboration with the HIV community to help empower people living with HIV to play an active role in their own health and wellbeing, and access the best possible care.
In a true collaboration between industry and patient/ community groups an innovative, joy-filled creative and person-centred campaign was launched, reflecting the unique and diverse community of people living with HIV. A universal symbol of four fingers represents the campaign pillars: mind, body, everyday life and accessing support – simplifying
the complexity of ‘quality of life’ into something easy for individuals to understand and communicate with their HIV doctors, nurses and support workers.
Currently 13 patient and community organisations from across the UK – representing the diversity of people living with HIV – publicly support the campaign.
Judges’ comments
Find Your Four to Live Well with HIV had a solid strategy, good execution and strong metrics. It demonstrated good value and engagement with the audience. Overall an excellent campaign and great collaboration with communities supporting HIV.
