Summary of work
The rapid rise of AI has placed the pharmaceutical industry at the forefront of adopting precise, personalized solutions to improve patient outcomes. Our goal was to accelerate UCB’s use of generative AI in global communications, building on strong foundations laid by the UCB IT team to foster a progressive AI mindset and drive company-wide change.
Innovation is not just about creating new products; it’s equally about enhancing existing processes and making incremental advancements that collectively yield substantial impact. This initiative reflected this idea – initially aimed at boosting one team’s AI capabilities, it evolved into a catalyst for a broader culture of exploration and collaboration, championed by UCB’s senior leadership. By setting a new standard for AI integration in pharmaceutical communications, we created Custom GPTs linked to vector databases for advanced Retrieval Augmented Generation, now widely implemented across the organization.
Rooted in a seven-year partnership, this initiative marks a significant milestone in our journey to enhance operational efficiency and strategic innovation. It exemplifies our dedication to process innovation, demonstrating that even small, continuous improvements can lead to transformative change, ultimately driving the pharmaceutical industry forward.
