Sandoz BioZone - An Educational Initiative in Neurology

Summary of work

BioZone is an educational initiative designed to elevate neurologists’ expertise and confidence in biosimilar medicines. Hosted on Wolters Kluwer’s FocusOn Neurology platform, BioZone meets diverse needs of busy healthcare professionals (HCPs). The program delivers a rich blend of live virtual sessions, on-demand content, and bite-sized educational content through specialised microjourneys, supporting both structured and continuous learning.
A robust, multi-channel media campaign was launched across the EU and US to maximise its effectiveness and was continuously optimised to achieve the greatest impact. This strategic effort leveraged third-party scientific websites, targeted email campaigns, banner advertisements, and paid search to reach its audience. The initiative successfully engaged over 9,000 HCPs across more than 30 countries. BioZone has been widely recognised for its exceptional user experience and high-quality content, establishing itself as an invaluable resource in advancing medical education for the multiple sclerosis (MS) communities globally, and ultimately improving patient outcomes.

Judges’ comments

Sandoz and Syneos Health clearly outlined the problem and challenge and then developed the engagement as a result. They had clear objectives, led by a strong steering group. The statistics were remarkable across all areas. There was a red thread throughout the whole programme and the scale was impressive.
