Summary of work
A diagnosis of a progressive genetic condition can be devastating. It not only affects the individual but also their entire family. This impact is only made worse when there are limited resources – with limited representation – available to these individuals to help them understand what it all means.
Just a few years ago, this was the reality for people diagnosed with hATTR amyloidosis. We have changed that.
By working closely with a diverse group of individuals from across the patient and clinical community, we transformed patient support. We developed information, resources, and content for these groups that would not only answer the common questions they would have but also be accessible to them via the channels best suited to them.

One Step Further was well written, coherent and structured. It had deep insight into patient needs and the judges were particularly impressed by the perceptions into individual stories. It demonstrated an emotive connection to patients with clear goals. An outstanding entry.
