Summary of work

Biomarker Banter: HR+/HER2– mBC Insights is an innovative podcast series designed to transform how healthcare professionals apply biomarker testing in metastatic breast cancer. Despite clear guidelines, inconsistent use of biomarker testing has continued to limit optimal treatment selection, sequencing, and personalization of care.Launched in January 2025, provided by Nexus Healthcare Education and Partners for Advancing Clinical Education and supported by a grant from Eli Lilly, the five-episode on-demand podcast was created to address key challenges: knowledge gaps, practical implementation, and interpretation of test results. The programme features world-renowned faculty including Drs. Komal Jhaveri, Hope Rugo, Erika Hamilton, Aditya Bardia, and Sara Tolaney, offering concise, case-based discussions accessible to busy oncologists, pathologists, and nurse practitioners.Interim outcomes demonstrate outstanding impact: over 5,047 HCPs engaged (on track for 5,600 by January 2026), with an average 41% knowledge gain across questions. 97% of learners reported improved competence, 92% intend to change their practice, and 87% have already demonstrated real-world behaviour change such as guideline-concordant first-line treatment decisions.By enabling clinicians to apply biomarker insights more consistently and confidently, the programme is directly enhancing patient care, advancing the standard of biomarker-driven treatment, and setting a benchmark for impactful digital education in oncology.
