This award recognises excellence in work categorized as non-commercial CSR activities, conducted by any organisation involved in any market, which shows a commitment to making a difference to communities/society, building trust in and enhancing the reputation of the pharmaceutical, medical technology and healthcare industries, whilst improving clinical outcomes and/or health economic value, whilst addressing stakeholder needs. These could include, but are not restricted to:

  • The use of technology to make the use of a pharmaceutical therapy more clinically or economically effective, or both
  • The use of technology and services that improve the patient/clinical experience
  • Approaches to improving compliance or use of the product that led to better clinical or health economic value, or both
  • Supporting healthcare systems in the delivery of service, extending accessibility and reach
  • The development and delivery of services delivered leading to a better experience for stakeholders/patients/customers.

Entries are invited from any individual, team, service or organisation that has improved reputation, social responsibility and trust within the healthcare and life sciences industry. Judges will be looking for evidence of impact, sustainability and innovation.

Work conducted in the two-year period from July 2023 to June 2025 will be eligible.

Judging criteria

Executive Summary – 200 words (not scored)

Context – 400 words (20 points)

  • Demonstrate how you gained deep and meaningful insights to prepare

Objectives – 400 words (20 points)

  • Demonstrate how your objectives related to all stakeholders and reinforced each other
  • The rigour and ambition of your objective setting/shared objectives
  • Were your objectives SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely)

Approach – 400 words (20 points)

  • How the organisation’s approach to strategy development has changed to suit the work
  • Evidence of how you created or developed a step-wise approach to your project

  • Demonstrate how metrics have been applied to measure outcomes, take further action and enable learning
  • Demonstrate how data captured is being leveraged and used to adapt strategy and tactics on an ongoing basis
  • Evidence of engagement and positive support statements
  • Evidence of changed perceptions and behaviours that will deliver improved health outcomes
