Summary of work

When MHP set out its new Life/Changing proposition at the beginning of 2020, no-one could have predicted just how life changing a year it would be.
In the face of the greatest health challenge in modern history and radical change to health system priorities, patient advocacy groups experienced a rapid loss of income and capacity, and the need to amplify the patient voice had never been more important.
Life/Changing is about helping health innovators enhance and extend people’s lives through compelling campaigns that change the way patients, professionals and policymakers think and act. It’s about making policymakers care as much about an issue as a patient would.
In a life/changing year, MHP has never been prouder of its team. Its rapid but considered approach to the challenges of the pandemic saw old clients retained, and new clients welcomed to the fold, including Mundipharma and the International Pharmaceutical Aerosol Consortium. It saw the team grow to 38 in 2020, all working from home but having fun along the way. And ultimately it helped MHP surpass its revenue target, delivering an increase of 17% from 2019.

Judges’ comments

It is clear that MHP Communications are involved in shaping and identifying healthcare priorities, with a clear public focus and expertise. They had good client feedback and their learning during tough times is encouraging. They have bold ambition, clear vision and good performance.
